Dear RecruitMe visitor, We are a research team from the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University. In the last five years we've been working on the design of new tools to improve experiences in online health communities. If you have ever participated in online health forums, chances are you know how challenging it may be to decide which discussion to read or to find information you are looking for. Our new tools help individuals quickly assess whether a given discussion is relevant to their information needs and which posts in the discussion they may want to focus on.Now we need your opinion on how useful our tool is. We would love for you to take a part in an on-line evaluation study, with no need for traveling to a specific location and with very flexible scheduling. During the study we will ask you to look at a discussion thread and answer some questions about it with the help of the tool or not. We expect the session to last 45-60 minutes and you will be compensated with $20 Amazon Gift Card for your participation. To participate in the study, you must be over 18 years old, be fluent in English, have a diagnosis of diabetes, or care for someone with diabetes, and have some experience participating in online discussion forums on any topic.
