Additional Study Information: You are invited to participate in a study that seeks to understand how respiratory virus infections affect human hosts at various stages of symptomology and predict future wellness states using biophysical measurements from a smartwatch. The goals are to identify biomarkers predictive of symptom outcome and develop early wellness prediction models. The study involves you and another child or adult household member to 1) wear a smartwatch that measures and collects data on your biophysical activity (adults only), 2) download two apps on your mobile phone (adults only), 3) fill out short, daily cold symptom surveys, 4) undergo nasal swab when experiencing cold symptoms, and 5) undergo blood draws (adults only). Compensation is available for both participants.
