Additional Study Information:

Do you ever wish there was more information on how to handle the challenges of pregnancy and having a new baby? This study looks into whether certain behavioral techniques used by mothers can help their babies sleep more and cry less and, in turn, improve womens moods and child outcomes. The study starts when you are in your third trimester of pregnancy and lasts until your baby is about 4 months old. After you attend a virtual screening session by phone or video to determine that you are fully eligible for the study, you will have 4 virtual sessions by phone or video; 1) at 28-32 weeks of pregnancy, 2) at 34-39 weeks of pregnancy, 3) when your baby is 4-6 weeks old, and 4) when your baby is 4 months old. Activities in these visits include answering questionnaires about your mood and various stressors in your life and performing a few simple tasks with your baby (e.g. playing, feeding, diapering). Participants can earn a total of $560 in our study.
