Additional Study Information: Have you ever had unusual thoughts, experiences or feelings, or do you have a family member with schizophrenia or psychosis? If so, you may be eligible for our clinic and research program. Researchers at the New York State Psychiatric Institute are interested in how these experiences may change over time. Study requirements: 6-7 hours including interviews over the course of 1-2 visits at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC)/New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI) Follow-up, one-hour interview every three months for up to 2.5 years You will also be asked to participate in our ongoing research studies over this time period which involve: -clinical interviews -magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). If you are eligible for our program, both therapy and medication are available to you at no cost. As a participant you will receive: $70.00 for the initial screening visit. Every follow-up visit you will be paid $10.00. Patients have 9 follow-up visits. Each visit takes approximately 1 hour, so compensation for each visit would be up to $20, or $180 for all 9 visits. You also have the opportunity to be compensated for your participation in research; overall patients can earn over 2.5 years $410.00 in non-MRI assessments and $1404.00 in MRI scans.
