Dr. Bill Whang is a specialist in heart rhythm disorders. He has expertise in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia, and works closely with colleagues who treat heart failure and adult congenital heart disease. He also has a clinical interest in left atrial appendage closure device implant.

His research background is in epidemiology, and he has published on psychosocial factors in cardiac arrhythmia as well as on catheter ablation of arrhythmias. After medical school and residency at Columbia, he completed his cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital. He has been on the faculty since 2006.
