Angelo B. Biviano, MD, MPH, is a cardiac electrophysiologist whose area of expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex heart rhythm irregularities. He has clinical and research interests in catheter and device based managements of arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, as well as the use of implantable pacemakers and defibrillators. Dr. Biviano is board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.

Dr. Biviano completed undergraduate studies at Princeton University with summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors. He received his MD and Masters in Public Health (in Health Care Management) degrees from Harvard University in 1997. He completed residency, chief residency, and fellowship training at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.

Dr. Biviano has experience with patient care, teaching, and cardiovascular research. He has been named "Best Doctor" in US News and World Report, "Top Doctor" in New York Magazine, "Teacher of the Year" in the Division of Cardiology at Columbia University Medical Center, and is a recipient of a National Institute of Health research grant in the area of atrial fibrillation ablation. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in the field of cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Biviano is a full-time faculty member at ColumbiaDoctors since 2006.
