Dr. Douglas long-standing interest in reproductive medicine has led her to combine patient care with basic and clinical research. Dr. Douglas received both her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Yale University School of Medicine. She received several awards for teaching and research during her postgraduate training. Dr. Douglass research focuses on understanding how the reproductive system develops and what is required for successful embryo implantation and pregnancy. She has been awarded grants from the Reproductive Scientist Development Program and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to continue her basic research. Dr. Douglas has a special interest in fertility treatment for individuals with co-existing medical conditions, like HIV, and patients who experience recurrent pregnancy loss.
