Kirsten Lawrence Cleary is a member of the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Cleary graduated cum laude from Wellesley College. After completing her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University/Bellevue, Dr. Cleary did a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She also completed a Masters Degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Penn, where her thesis focused on infectious disease screening in pregnancy.
Dr. Cleary came to Columbia in 2004, where she has worked as a core member of our Obstetrics team, with a strong clinical and research interest in hypertensive diseases in pregnancy, maternal cardiac disease and critical care obstetrics. She is the director of the Perinatal Networks for our Regional Perinatal Center, facilitating transfer for high risk patients from the region to our center.
