Dr. Ojas Shah, a leading expert in the prevention and treatment of kidney stones, has been appointed Chief of the Division of Endourology and Director of Comprehensive Kidney Stone Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia. Dr. Shah, who joins NewYork-Presbyterian from NYU Langone Medical Center, where he served as Director of Endourology and Stone Disease, is an esteemed clinician and researcher in the field. At Columbia, Dr. Shah continues his research endeavors, including collaborations with the Division of Nephrology and Columbia Genome Center on the genetics of stone disease. He is a founding member of the research consortium, the Endourologic Disease Group for Excellence, an Assistant Editor of the Journal of Urology, and Associate Editor of Taneja’s Complications of Urologic Surgery.
