Paula Castaño, MD, MPH, is a board certified obstetrician gynecologist. She received an undergraduate degree at Brown University and completed medical school at the University of Minnesota. She was a resident at the University of Texas Southwestern Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Castaño completed her fellowship in family planning at Columbia University Medical Center, where she also obtained a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology. Her clinical focus is on office-based procedures. Her research interests include contraceptive use by HIV-infected women, the folate status of reproductive-aged women, and the use of technology to improve contraceptive continuation. She serves as director of the Faculty Practice.
