The Columbia Center for Eating Disorders is an internationally recognized research and treatment program. Our mission is to advance the care of patients through advances in understanding causes and characteristics of eating and weight disorders. Our program is unique in its ability to offer treatment at no cost as part of our clinical research program. Insurance is not necessary. We have the following treatments available at no cost for individuals with eating disorders who are interested in and eligible for research participation: (a) inpatient treatment aimed at normalization of eating patterns and weight-restoration, as needed, for adults and adolescents, (b) day treatment for adolescents, (c) outpatient therapy (family-based or individual). Research participation may include: (a) questionnaires, (b) computer games and tasks, (c) eating assessments, (d) assessments in your environment, (d) functional MRI scans (no radiation), (e) EEG monitoring. You may be compensated for your time and participation. For more information and to see if you are eligible, call the Columbia Center for Eating Disorders at 646 774 8066.
