Subjects are being asked to volunteer to allow excess specimen (blood, bone marrow samples, samples of pleural and pericardial effusions, ascites, tissue, and bone samples) removed from patients with and who are undergoing procedures for hematological and non-hematological disorders for storage and future use. These samples will be placed in the human tissue repository, which is a storage bank. Samples from this storage bank will be used only for research relating to increasing knowledge about Multiple Myeloma (MM) disease. This research will help us to learn more about various plasma cell dyscrasias such as multiple myeloma and amyloidosis and how to treat them.
