Additional Study Information: The purpose of this research is to study the effects of liver transplantation and standard immunosuppression on body composition in patients with compensated cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Patients with a diagnosis of HCC and cirrhosis who are listed for a liver transplant will be enrolled in this study. If you agree to participate, you will be in this observational study for 36 months. All study data will be collected at the time of your regular clinical visits with your doctor, and all procedures conducted such as vital signs, physical exam, and blood collection will be conducted as part of your routine clinical care. At the time of your routine clinical MRI scans, the study doctor will obtain additional body composition scans which will add 6-8 minutes to your regular MRI. You will not receive direct benefits from your study participation. However, this research will increase the knowledge surrounding the effects of liver transplantation and standard immunosuppression on body composition in patients with compensated cirrhosis and HCC.
