The Lugo Lab at Columbia University's Department of Psychiatry is conducting a study of stress and sleep in childhood and pregnancy, which will take place over the next year. We are recruiting pregnant people who identify as Latinx/Hispanic. You will be compensated for your time! We are flexible in scheduling convenient times for you to come in. The study will involve a prenatal interview, an assessment of your sleep, a saliva collection task, a behavioral video assessment, and four interviews once your baby is born. You will also be invited to complete assessments of your infant's brain functioning. All procedures except the assessment of brain functioning can be done remotely and with minimal contact! Participants will be compensated up to $515 total for the study. If you are interested in participating, a researcher will contact you to determine your eligibility and to find a time that works with your schedule. The Principal Investigator of the lab is Dr. Claudia Lugo-Candelas, whose lab is located in the Department of Psychiatry in Columbia's Medical Center.
