Additional Study Information: The Department of Ophthalmology is conducting an NIH-funded study of vitreous floaters. Adults with or without floaters will be qualified for this study. We are specifically interested in myopes (nearsighted people) and diabetics as well as candidates for cataract surgery in addition to normal subjects. The study will involve routine measurements of axial length and refraction plus an ultrasound exam of both eyes. The total duration of the exam is approximately 30 minutes. Participants will not be paid for this study.
