Columbia University researchers are looking to interview people for a study on patient decisions about whether to remove the fallopian tubes when having a hysterectomy, tubal ligation, or other sterilization surgery. If you are a woman 30-49 years of age, speak English, and have had a hysterectomy (for non-cancer reasons), tubal ligation, or another type of sterilization surgery in the past 3 years, you might be eligible to participate. If you participate, you will complete an interview with a researcher remotely by phone or online (through Zoom). The interview will ask about your experience with the surgery. You will also be asked to provide feedback on a draft survey related to this topic. The interview will take approximately one hour. You will receive a $50 gift card for completing the interview. There are other criteria that you will need to meet to qualify, which the study team will discuss with you.
