Additional Study Information: The purpose of this project is to develop a set of word finding or naming tests for adults, ages 66 and above. The main task involves naming pictures of common objects (e.g. broom), or naming items when given a description (e.g. "what children ride to school in"). There are some other tasks as well such as single word reading, number repetition, remembering some items, etc. All tasks are paper and pencil; there are no medications or scans and nothing is physically invasive. Required participation is just 1 visit. It sometimes happens that we'd like you to come back in for a follow up visit but that depends on if you're randomly picked to come back in. Some participants have only the 1 main visit, and others are randomly assigned 1 follow-up visit which occurs 1 year after the first session. The first visit and the 1-year follow-up visit are each about 90 minutes long, and you will be compensated $40 for each visit.
