Osteoporotic fractures affect the lives of 1.5 million Americans each year. Imaging tests, such as bone density, are used to predict fracture risk and to help guide therapy for fracture prevention. In this study we are validating a high-resolution, three-dimensional scanner with the overall goal of improving the diagnosis of bone diseases.
