Condition: Psychiatric Disorders / Bipolar Disorder

We are recruiting adults with bipolar disorder, and adults with no psychiatric disorder, ages 18-60 years. As a participant in our study, you will be asked to attend one remote or in-person visit and one to two in-person visits. We are doing this study to test the use of a drug called bromocriptine for women with a condition called Peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM). The study will look at how the heart muscle improves in women taking bromocriptine compared to a group of women given a placebo or inactive pill.
